Each time we come to visit Pooh
Childhood gently beckons us near,
To relive all the memories we hold in our heart,
The ones we made with him there.

Pooh holds out his paw, and leads us,
We eagerly follow him on!
He takes us back to another time,
A time that too quickly was gone!

Back to the days of Tigger,
Of Piglet, Kanga and Roo,
Of Owl, Christopher and Eeyore,
And all their adventures with Pooh.

He leads us through familiar paths
As we wander through the wood.
Such well-worn trails in our memories,
The test of time, they have withstood.

Oh, the sweet echo, of childhood's voice,
As it whispers softly in our ear!
Calling us back to that magical place,
That we will forever hold dear!

As we grow older and time marches on,
This thought in your mind, always bear -
In your memories you can travel back to that place,
And Pooh will forever wait for you there!

I love Pooh, He's my friend.
We snuggle under the blankets when it is night,
Cause we don't like the dark!
And when I go to school, I put my jammies in his tummy,
And he holds onto them for me.
Pooh is very nice to me, and I am very nice to him,
Because I love him!

I love you Pooh because
you are nice to your friends.
I love you Pooh because
you are always happy.
I love you because you are a
silly ole bear!

I love Pooh
because he flies with a balloon.
I love Pooh
because he is friendly to me
and to everybody.
He has a good heart inside
for love and goodness.

A Tale To Tell

Here's a tale for you,
About Winner-ther-Pooh.
A little old cubby,
Whose short, round and chubby.

If it's the same to you,
I'll just call him "Pooh".
Cause I know him quite well,
As you'll be able to tell.

I met him you see,
Upon my mom's knee.
From a book, that she read,
To me, before bed.

Each bedtime would find me,
Believing that I'd be,
Another one of the troop,
In the Winnie-the-Pooh group.

I'd dream of the Wood,
Where Poohbear's house stood.
Of how we'd frolick and play,
In the Aker Wood, every day.

Of the traps that we'd lay,
To keep Heffalumps away.
And how we'd fool the bees,
Who had hives in the trees.

I know it sounds funny,
But a Poohbear loves honey.
And I love that cubby,
Whose short, round and chubby.

So if it's the same to you,
We'll just call him "Pooh".
And this tale you can tell,
Cause now you know him quite well.

He grabs his balloon and floats in the sky,
To look for his favorite smackeral.
Honey of course, is his favorite thing,
And he greets the bees so delightful!

Sticking his paw in carefully,
To fill his pot marked 'honey',
Then slowly drifting down to land,
His snack, to him, means more than money.

All day he eats, plays, and xrsises,
Then visits little Piglet and bouncy Tigger.
Oh my!  Don't forget about little old Eeyore.
Meanwhile, his snack makes his tummy get bigger!

When he gets home from the day so long,
From getting snacks and playing with friends,
He tucks himself into his comfy bed,
Lays his head on his pillow, and to his prayers he tends.

Now we know who this cuddly creature is,
He's a yellow chubby bear...
You've probably already guessed his name....
He's Winnie-The-Pooh, and he's full of care!

Pooh has a heart as big as gold,
He gives to his friends,
Young and old.
He is willing to help,
When they are in need.
Pooh lives by "do unto others",
That is his creed.
He is a bear who is a friend to all,
Young and old,
Big and small -
He will always be there,
Of this, there is no doubt,
He knows what friendship
Is ALL about!
