"Sometimes, when you are a Bear of Very Little Brain, and
you Think of Things, you find sometimes that a Thing which
seemed very Thingish inside you is quite different when it
gets out into the open and has other people looking at it."
~Pooh~
"Nobody can be uncheered with a balloon." ~Pooh~
"Well," said Pooh, "we keep looking for Home and not finding
it, so I thought that if we looked for this Pit, we'd be sure not
to find it, which would be a Good Thing, because then we might
find something that we weren't looking for, which might be just
what we were looking for, really."
"I don't see much sense in that," said Rabbit.
"No," said Pooh humbly, "there isn't. But there was going to
be when I began it. It's just that something happened to it along the way." ~Pooh~
"Let's go and see everybody," said Pooh. "Because when you've been walking in the wind for miles, and you suddenly go into somebody's house, and he says, 'Hallo, Pooh, you're just in time for a little smackerel of something,' and you are, then it's what I call a Friendly Day." ~Pooh~
"Rabbit's clever," said Pooh thoughtfully.
"Yes," said Piglet, "Rabbit's clever.
"And he has Brain."
"Yes," said Piglet, "Rabbit has Brain."
There was a long silence.
"I suppose," said Pooh, "that that's why he never understands anything." ~Pooh~
"My spelling is Wobbly. It's good spelling, but it Wobbles, and the letters get in the wrong places." ~Pooh~
"And we must all bring Provisions."
"Bring what?"
"Things to eat."
"Oh!" said Pooh happily. "I thought you said Provisions.
I'll go and tell them." And he stumped off. ~Pooh~

"One can't complain. I have my friends. Someone spoke to
me only yesterday." ~Eeyore~
"People who don't think probably don't have brains; rather
they have grey fluff that's blown into their heads by mistake."
-Eeyore-
"A little Consideration, a little Thought for Others, makes
all the difference." ~Eeyore~
"Could you ask your friend to do his excercises somewhere
else? I shall be having lunch directly, and don't want it
bounced on just before I begin. A triffling matter, and
fussy of me, but we all have out little ways." ~Eeyore~
"They're funny things, Accidents. You never have them
til you're having them." ~Eeyore~

"It's so much more friendly with two." ~Piglet~
"It's awfully hard to be b-b-brave," said Piglet,
"when you are only a Very Small Animal." ~Piglet~
"When you wake up in the morning, Pooh," said
Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to your-
self?"
"What's for breakfast?" said Pooh. "What do you say
Piglet?"
"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting
today?" said Piglet.
Pooh nodded thoughtfully.
"Can you read, Pooh?" Owl asked a little anxiously.....
So owl wrote...and this is what he wrote:
HIPY PAPY BTHUTHDTH THUTHDA BTHUTHDY.
Pooh looked on admiringly.
"I'm just saying 'A Happy Birthday,'" said Owl carelessly.
"It's a nice long one," said Pooh, very much impressed byit.
"Well, actually, of course, I'm saying 'A Very Happy Birthday
with love from Pooh.' Naturally it takes a good deal of pencil
to say a long thing like that." ~Owl~
"If people jump out at you suddenly, that's an Ambush." ~Owl~

"I didn't really bounce Eeyore. I had a cough, and I happened to
be behind Eeyore, and I said 'Grrrr-oppp-ptschschschz." ~Tigger~
When he awoke in the morning, the first thing he saw was
Tigger, sitting in front of the glass and looking at himself.
"Hallo!" said Pooh.
"Hallo!" said Tigger. "I've found somebody just like me. I
thought I was the only one of them." ~Tigger~
"I didn't bounce, I coughed." ~Tigger~
"It all comes," said Rabbit sternly, "of eating too much. I thought
at the time," said Rabbit, "only I didn't like to say anything," said
Rabbit, "and I knew it wan't me," he said. ~Rabbit~
"You can't help respecting anybody who can spell TUESDAY, even
if he doesn't spell it right; but spelling isn't everything. There are
days when spelling Tuesday simply doesn't count." ~Rabbit~
"Owl," said Rabbit shortly, "you and I have brains. The others
have fluff. If there is any thinking to be done in this Forest -
and when I say thinking I mean thinking - you and I must do
it." ~Rabbit~
"But it's always useful to know where a friend-and-relation is,
whether you want him or whether you don't." ~Rabbit~
"Spelling isn't everything. There are some days when spelling
Tuesday simply doesn't count." ~Rabbit~
